What could be the cause, 5 year old hallucinating

I would love it if a doctor would give her/his professional opinion on this :
5 year old boy who has been healthy his whole life until 6 months ago. He had a dry cough (coughing literally all day everyday) for 3 months straight. Doctor put him on flonase and adult zyrtec (on 2 weeks, off 2 weeks) for those 3 months. Saw ENT and took X-rays. No inflammation and no signs of large adenoids. Whooping cough test was negative also. Then it just stopped. Then for 4 weeks time he would break out in hives on his face and body and have a really raw tongue and mouth after eating Mac & Cheese, chocolate and pizza. Which was something he would often eat and never have reactions. Had blood tests done and has no allergies to food, not vitamin deficient, no low iron.  Then the reactions stopped. Then he had to pee every 5 min or so for about 3 weeks. He felt a tickle down there all the time. Most the time peeing a couple drops or none at all. Had urine test done and found he was OFF THE CHARTS dehydrated and constipated. Was put on MiraLax for 2 weeks straight (full cap every day that cleared up constipation. Then woke one morning hands shaking and hallucinating. Seeing the ceiling moving, raining in the house, black & grey dots all over the walls, checkered patterns. He would still see it with his eyes closed. Saw it all throughout the day too. Next morning he woke up seeing flashing green and red vision. He gets really car sick in the car now and very sensitive to light (sunlight and house lights). These things do not/has not stopped now for 4 weeks now. He threw up 1 day but might just have been a bug. He is now saying weird stuff a 5 year old shouldn't be saying all day long about every 20min or so. He sees dog poop and says "I feel like I ate it". He said he thinks his drink is pee. He chewed gum, spit it out and said he feels like he swallowed it. I showed him the gum he spit out and said that he didn't swallow it. He said he knows but his brain is saying he ate it. So he knows what he's seeing isn't normal or real, and he knows what he's thinking isn't happening and not real... But he still does it. He really wants to stop his thoughts and his vision but can't. Anyone have a clue?  Doctor just referred him to a cardiologist and optomologist because he doesn't know what to do. Help?
