Will I be able to grow taller when my bone age is 17 already?

Hi, I'am 16 years old and I'am about 5'5 and weigh about 65kg. I don't really have a short stature (short build) but I'am not happy at all about my current height. recently I've been to a pedriatician and went through bone age x-ray, the results show that my bone age is 17 and the bones are nearly fused. My question is that, I have been swimming ALOT and did plenty of bar hanging and i drink nearly 2 litres of milk every day, and with a rich protein diet.. will i be able to grow still?? The doctor told me I still have a few inches to come if I continue this lifestyle, is this true? I have felt that I have grown taller when compared to a friend of mine who used to be alot more taller than me. Anyway, I would like to know also that how accurate these readings could be? because I know a friend who is 24 years old but says that he grew 1-2 inches still from swimming and eating healthy. Sorry for exploding all these information at you.. but please help me, I'am very worried about my height, I just wished I could be 5'8.

5'5" is not short. And that's my height, too. haha. but just to say, females can keep growing/developing til they are around 20 or 21 years old, maybe a little more. so don't worry about it. everyone has different body shapes/height. stress won't help.
