childrens health

my grandson age 3 has a problem pooping he is no just holding it in he trys to push it out but the only way to keep it entirely out is for his mom to lay him on his back and push and rub his belly, doctors so far have not give a solution anyone know anything about this

Could be constipated , and the stool has got too large to be pushed out, he could use a softener , it may be a good idea to mention it to the doctor for more ideas on what to give him to help. Make sure he is having a roughage diet, fruits Cereal,veg..Juice will help it .
