Thanks for all of the advice grateful2011. I have been a follower of this forum for years, but this is my first time posting. One thing that I notice reduces my symptoms drastically is getting over 8 hours of sleep each night. If I get less than this my symptoms are worse. My symptoms are awful if I get under 7 hours. For me, PATM manifests itself as consistently making others itch intensely with mild sneezing in enclosed spaces. When it's really bad it make my scalp itchy which seems to be the only area I'm affected at. And no it is not lice or scabies, etc. as I have had numerous docs check for this.
The only other thing I've noticed that I haven't seen posted here is that my symptoms are better when I eat (maybe digestive symptom is distracted?). Literally the only way I can go to a movie without making others itch is if I slowly eat through the entire thing--even if it's just little bits of popcorn).
I have found a lot of the advice you give to be accurate through trial and error, but I haven't applied this in any consistent way to date. You inspire me when I feel like ending everything.
P.S. If anyone lives in the Midwest of the U.S. and would be interested in meeting up...I'm open. It's hard to meet other people outside of family/co-workers when you literally repel people!
I do eat seafood and eggs
- no meat at least 99%of the time ( beef, chicken, pork, turkey, lamb etc)
You can eat certain types of meat, but be sure they are fresh and not processed. Eggs are ok as well. As far as seafood goes, stay away from any type of shell fish. Google the candida diet and you'll see lists of what you can and cannot eat on there.
When you guys mention you don't eat meat does that mean seafood & eggs too or no?
Thanks for your response. I have been watching some of these youtube videos where people talk about TMAU and how they have taking the initiative to control the smell that they emit also its kind of an eye opener that some of them are actually starving their bodies and are prone to infectious diseases/osteoporosis/organ failure due them not receiving enough nutrients and also muscle depletion.
It would probably be feasible to see a nutrionist and get a personnel diet that would help with our symptoms and also not damage our bodies.
Just a thought if you haven't already seen one.
I am very thankful to be about 98% to 100% patm free on any given day
being patm is fluid as everyone should know - depending on what you choose to consume in your body and how it interacts with our internal "eco" system
I generally choose to be gluten free each day, I now am enjoying proteins from hemp and leafy greens
most likely patm symptoms( someone sniffing) will reappear with some processed foods or some ingredient in restaurant food
so I have learned that when I know Im going out or will be eating outside my usual food choices - l have my l-glutamine powder with me to consume in water which helps me get back to patm free
