I was diagnosed with PCOS and Hypothyroid 10 years ago. Now I am 29 and have gained 20 pounds since i stopped exercising and taking weight loss pills prescribed by my doctor as Obego. But now I have started taking another weight loss pill called Slimway. Has anyone heard of this pill before. It seems to curb my hunger and cravings but the weight doesnt seem to come off?
Thanks I will try that. I'm frustrated cuz I am already very active. I do zumba twice a week and kickboxing twice a week and I walk on the treadmill on my lunch breaks at work 4 times a week. I walk to and from work as well, and I can't seem to lose weight at all.
Hi boogiefly,
Diet control is very hard. but i followed a strict diabetic diet. Counting my carbs, proteins, fat. completely cut out regular sodas switched to diet cokes (2 a day still bad i know), crystal light, increased water, switched to soy almond milk, i also started off 30 min/day brisk walking x 3 day/week. then increased it to 45 min 5 days a week. its not easy its really hard. i have stopped my diet and i gained 5 lbs back so i need to get back on it!. Good luck, you might wanna look at diabetic diets at http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/diabetes-diet/DA00027
hope that helps! good luck and baby dust and cement!
thanks for the advise & i would also love to know how u lost 30 pounds that is awesome!!! i went back to my RE last thursday & he made it clear i do not have PCOS thank goodness, my regular OB thought i had it b/c my RE put me on metformin, they misunderstood each other & just confused me, but i took clomid this month and had a large egg on my left ovary & a few smaller eggs on my right ovary, then i took the shot ovidrel to induce my ovulation so now im on the TWW so wish me luck girls!!!!! and thanks for responding i was beginning to wonder if any one uses this site, no one ever answers any of my posts!
Hi this is off the subject, but how did u lose 30 pounds? I've worked out a lot and have mostly watched my diet, but still have a hard time dropping weight.
Hi Ashley, from what I understand you don't have to have the classice "pearl necklace" of cysts surrounding both ovaries, but if you are not conceiving and if blood test show that you are on the low to no end of normal they can diagnose you with PCOS. This has happened to me. I have regular periods and the occasional cyst. I am overwieght but have lost 30 lbs in last year trying to improve that number tho. Hope this info helps.
