You're welcome! Good luck :)
Sounds like a good idea!! Thanks for your help and listening to me ramble on :)
It doesn't sound like you have PCOS so I can see your concern. I think it might be best to get a second opinion before they try to treat something that you don't have.
And my cycles run fairly like clock work every 28 days for 6-7 days
I was on the Depo shot for 9 years so I don't really remember what my cycles were like before that but when I went off the shot in 2009 it took 2years for my cycle to come back. When it did come back I started getting episodes of feeling like I was going to pass out and flushing and some anxiety... but the doctor said he thought it was pcos so that's when they did the ultrasound... but no cysts all they could see was a follicles. I'm so confused!!
I had really long periods that would last 11-13 days at a time, excessive facial hair, was overweight and insulin resistant. I was diagnosed back in 1995 when not much was known about it. I had a lot of blood work done. They tested my testosterone levels, FSH, cortisol, and some others that at this moment I can't really remember. I had an ultrasound and they found many cysts and my right ovary was very hard, it was like a baseball is what the doctor said. My adrenal glands were also checked.
I've had saliva hormone tests done but other than the ultrasound they haven't done anything else... I do have a low folic acid level. I feel like they are assuming it's pcos. What blood test do they do for pcos?
Have they done any blood work at all?
No irregular periods... the only thing is increased facial hair.
Do you have irregular periods? Do you have any other symptoms?
