Spotting after sex and acupuncture with ivf

Hi we have been trying to conceive for 2 years now with no luck. I have pcos and do not ovulate or do not know when i ovulate. On sun 1/5 i had sex and afterwards noticed some blood when i wiped. After that not every time there was a small amount. I called my ivf nurse and she said to start taking the pill, so we can start ivf. But i am not sure if this is my period or someghing else. Very confused. Also i wanted to know is it good doing acupuncture whiles doing ivf?please let me know your thoughts.

I would ask the nurse if you can postpone for a month, to be sure you are not pregnant now.  Not that having a little blood is any very clear indicator, but you would like to be sure.  It won't kill you to wait a month to start your birth-control pills, I assume.

I did acupuncture to support my IVF and thought it was very helpful.  It was recommended by my RE.

Thanks for your comment. Did a blood test and it was negative and hcg level was 2.

Sounds like you can perfectly appropriately start the bcp's.  Good luck with your IVF.
