Recently been diagnosed with pcos!

I am only 14 and I have been diagnosed with PCOS. I'm usually a fun, energetic person but learning that I have PCOS has worried me slightly. Is there anyone else young who has this problem as well?

I got given metformim by the doctor at the hospital my GP recommended I don't take it. I have very irregular periods which is the main reason I went to the doctors. Thank you for advice. :)

Has your doctor given you any meds to help you along with your pcos? Because your so young, its good you found out early. Founding out early, means you know what to do in order to fix this for future, so you have no further problems. I didn't find out I had PCOS until I was 21...even though I probably had it way before I knew. Are your periods irregular? I take Yasmin birth control and metformin. The birth control helps to keep my periods on track so I have one each month, and the metformin helps with losing weight. Please talk with your doctor and parents so you can start getting treated.
