Wondering

Hello there,
I was wondering Id irregular periods were one of the MAIN symptoms of PCOS? My Periods are always regular, but my mother has PCOS I was just wondering if there was any possible way I would have it if my periods are regular.

I did NOT have blood test to be dignosed with PCOS i just had the ultrasound scan where a was told thats what i have got

hi,,,the diagnosis need also the blood tests to check: LH: FSH, testosterone, DHEAs, prolactin, 17 -OH progesterone, these what my doctor did,,,, don't worry,,,u will be fine,,,

Ok thank you for your help, I'm going for an ultrasound on the 21st to find out, can I get a blood test done to confirm this also?

Hello,, periods can be regular in PCOS,, I do have pcos with regular periods,, diagnosis is based on:Two out of three of the following:   1.   Oligo- or anovulation,,,2.   Clinical and/or biochemical signs of hyperandrogenism( like excess hair,acne),,,,3.   Polycystic ovaries on ultrasound
