I beleive so. I lost at one point 62lbs. I put back in 7 months 24lbs, but lost 6lbs so far. My periods were going ok, but in Jan 2010 my period was 10 days late due to the weight gain. My doctor said just to lose what I gained back, I will be better. Well that's easier said then done. I have had allot of stress during those 7 months of my life and took a few vacations which caused different eating habits and sleep patterns. I'm trying, but you know its hard. I am a strong beleiver on that if if you do lose the weight you gained....you will feel better and be heatlhier at that too. If you can try taking up walking about 30 minuets a day. I did that, along with watching the food i took in and taking Green tea extract pills (i swear by these...if you can take them, then do it...i really think they helped with the weight loss) and lost the weight. But once I fell COMPLETELY of the wagon...it's so hard to get back on. I've been trying since Jan of this year to really start over...but once I fall behind...I'll just say to myself, I'll start next week again. Well that's done with...I'm starting back up on this Sunday (why Sunday...cause it's a new week and I might as well have the foods I want before then lol).

Like I said, if you think you might have PCOS...ask your doctor for some blood work to check out your hormones. If you this, you want to know early so you know what to do. But in your case, I think its just the weight gain...and if you stop it now before you keep gaining more and more, your better off. You don't want to be at some point 50lbs heavier then you are now.

Good luck.

You can develope PCOS anytime...even AFTER you had a baby. If you suspect you have it...get to the doctor. You can start getting treated to help yo lose the weight you put on. Also just because your periods are messed up DOES not mean you have PCOS. The lack of period is from the weight gain in my opinon.
