really need answers :(

So i have suspected pcos but also been treated for pelvic inflamatory disease more times than ive had hot dinners
doctors in england suck,
my question is: if you have polycystic ovaries and you had an internal examination would it hurt? like when the doc presses on your fallopian tubes?
the only reason ive been treated for PID is cause i have a red and inflamed cervix when i know there are other things that cause this appart from PID, and the pain ive been having,
i know PCOS can cause pain aswell so might i not have PID?
this might sound confusing but any advice would be appreciated
ive got another appointment with a gyn in 2 weeks i just want to put my mind at rest
im only 18

thanks for your input :)
i know the inflamed cervix is not a symptom of PCOS, its caused by something else which in turn causes the pain
thanks for all your help

I have had PCOS for 12 years and I have never had pain during an examination except when I had an infection in my falopian tubes. The most pain I had was during menstrual cycles. Over the years it has gotten alot better. I no longer have as many cyst. When I was diagnosed both of my ovaries and my uterus were literally covered in cyst. When the cyst burst they can cause spotting in between periods. Over the years I have done a good bit a research on PCOS as when I was diagnosed the doctor could not tell me anything about it. There still isn't alot known about it.
Most of the people that I know including myself that have PCOS show most of the symptoms. Red and Inflamed Cervix is not one of the symptoms of PCOS.

I have PCOS. I had a painful papsmear back when I was 18, however at the time I was a virgin, plus I'm a tiny woman, and the doctor I had was worth, literally, nothing in the gynecological area. I have a tender abdomen and pelvis, because of the PCOS (or that's what I'm assuming, the doctor has never told me differently).
However, from what I've heard, unless the doctor uses the wrong size instrument or you're a virgin or the doctor's a quack, papsmears should go fairly smoothly.

I never had any pain when I had an internal exam...it's really only unconfortable. You could have PCOS, but you could also have PID. My cervix was never red or inflamed and thats not a symptom of PCOS. My PCOS only caused me the "normal" cramping each month. But before I got treated, I bled an entire month in 2007. I only bled when I had cramps. I don't have any more pain. I'm being treated and only get cramps during the time of my period. If I were you, I would ask your doctor about PCOS. Do you have any other symptoms that would make you think you have PCOS?
