I never went to a parenting class, im sure they will tell you the same thing your mom or any mother would tell you.
I think every parent has different parenting techniques. Every mother could be the best mother to their child
I took a birthing class too. It was super helpful. We learned different breathing techniques, different ways of getting the baby out, when to go to L&D, toured the hospital, different meds available to you other than the epidural.
Yes i go too parenting class every other Thursday they teach you a lot, even stuff for after you have the baby also
Oh! And we also learned baby CPR! Super important. It wasn't a certification course, but if I need to use it, I have a general idea of how.
What did they go over in the birthing class
Yes! I took some classes offered by my hospital and it was great! You learn about the new safety standards and other parenting advice. I also made new mommy friends.:) I also had my parents take a grandparents class. That was really beneficial because when I was a baby, parents were told to prop baby on their side. Now, it's flat on the back. The grandparents class helps your parents understand the shift in safety practices. So now, I don't have to worry about fighting with in-laws telling me how to put my son to bed.
I haven't taken parenting classes, but I've taken birthing classes and I would say those are worth taking :(
