My little sister described it as having a teddy bear snuggle you back lol - but she said that five years ago and she's 21 now with one of her own.
Awwww, well as long as you guys say that its not so bad. Ill take your word on it.
The first week home is always the worst. But dont you just love it when you rock your little munchkin to sleep and he or she is holding your finger or clenching your shirt collar, burying their head in your chest listening to that familiar heartbeat and muffled humming of your voice? That is what makes it all worth it to me. They cant tell you they love you yet, but they show it at that age in such a way it almost makes one cry thinking of the trust and protection he or she feels just wrapped up in your arms...
Getting a little sentimental I know, but I cant help it.
Don't worry they are not horror stories on my end! You wake up in the middle of the night and you don't get to sleep much, but they are moments that you get to spend with your little or while they are so tiny. It's not that bad:)
I'm exactly 7 weeks today .
Maybe they sound like horror stories now but when your baby grows up you will miss those very times you are dreading now. My son is 9 and i can't wait for my baby to arrive so that i can again relive those days. Lol.
Oh my god, what have I gotten myself into.. Im only 7w,with my first kid. and these all sound like horror stories to me
my gal is nearly 7 months and still wakes up at stupid o clock for a bottle haha. but year i remember the every 3 hour wake up cry! at least now its bed at half 9, bottle at 5 then sleep till 8. still feel drained tho haha
My LO is four months old now and looking back, I still don't know how we got thru the first month. Did I sleep at all? Lol...
Lol don't feel guilty we got to do what we can to get at least a lil bit of rest
Ya I actually felt a little guilty for napping today while my girls were in school bc I could have been getting stuff done around the house, but mommas gotta get some rest some time:)
Im not ready I no I'm not mi bby do almost everything for his self lawd knows this gne take sum getting use to
Lol yea no sleep but I'm lucky too my daughter goes to school so guess I'll have to get used to taking naps with him :)
I forgot too! I didn't sleep for 72 hours at the hospital so I get that feeling! Now my little boy sleeps all day long and stays awake at night:/ I love when he is awake and alert so I enjoy our time alone at night, luckily my older kids are in school so I sleep when he does during the day. He is a week old now and it definitely feels like I haven't slept in weeks also. I am thoroughly loving every single moment tho:)
Ya...it's definitely a challenging stage and sleep deprivation is something I'm definitely not looking forward to. But....they are only little for a short time. With time, it'll pass. Enjoy your new bundle of joy!
