visitors after baby comes

Me and my bf are trying to decided when we want to start having family and friends come to our house to see to the baby after we bring her home.  I read some where that you should just have it be you, the baby's dad,  and baby for a week or so. But I'm not sure. I don't want people to get mad that they can't come see her but I also want to make sure to be able to have time to bond as a family and have a peaceful quite environment for my baby.

Dont worry about how other people feel about it and dont do what a book tells you either. I would say decide when its time because you never know how u will feel.. maybe u wont want anyone around.. or maybe u will wanna show the baby off.. just wait and decide then

I would have it just be yall for a week or two. It also depends if they are coming to stay with you or if their just coming over. We had company for 5 weeks straight after my son was born. We live in a different state and have 3 sets of parents. It was taxing. They say their coming to help you with the housework and whatnot but I ended up doing everything and having to ask to hold my own baby.  My hubbies mom is the only one who helped....
