When I was pregnant the first time I felt symptoms about 2-4 days before AF was due.  Mostly tired, morning sickness, and food cravings.

The scond and third pregnancies about a week before AF is due I felt tired, and morning sickness, then about 4 days before I started to have issues with some foods.  I took a test this time because (I LOVE sushi), and got sick from it two days in a row.

The problem is, period like symptoms are very similar to pregnancy symptoms.  There is no way to tell.  The mind can play tricks.  Just wait until you are at least 2 weeks late and test.

i agree with everyone else there is no way to tell. period symptoms can be similar to pregnancy symptoms. you probably wouldn't be having constipation this early, and more often than not morning sickness doesn't start until the 6th week. even if youve never had pre menstrual symptoms they can start for no reason. and i dont know how long your normal cycle is but if its 28 days then you missed your last ovulation day by 3 days...like everyone else said you need to just wait to test until your several days late. don't read into symptoms. they can mean anything.

I defiantly agree with worried.  I didn't start getting nauseous until about 8 weeks or so, and never got constipated.  and my boobs didn't get sore or grow until the second trimester.. I think its defiantly period like.  Are you hoping to be pregnant, sometimes when you want something so bad, then you fill your head up with everything positive, and really its not happening at all.. Just wait like 2 weeks and take a test.  Did he get off inside of u?

omg my boobs got soooooo sore when I got pregnant, as soon as I ovulated (never happened before) and they stopped being sore during my 2nd trimester. That was the only symptom I had until I got morning sickness around my 12th week

Ive given my opinion and all the advise i could.. all you can do now is test in like a week or so.  i mean I guess its possible to get symptoms that early but ive never seen it, but everyone is different, but my personal opinion is that i think its your period starting, theres nothing more we can say. so test and let us no what happens

If your cycle is 31 days then you most likely ovulated later than the 1st feb. .since you would be due your period on the 18th feb.we ovulate roughly 14 days before our period.not 14 days after first day of period.sperm can be waiting.for up to 5 days or so but needs to be in the right enviroment.somtimes we want to be pregnant so much, we can over analize symptoms.but in a few days time you will know.

What calculator did you use? Did your friend tell the doctor how long your cycles are? Online calculators usually based on a 28 day cycle to detect when you are ovulating, and your fertile days. I have a 29-31 day cycle and I ovulate on day 15-17. You ovulate 14 days BEFORE your period is going to start, the 14 days between ovulation and your next period are called the Luteal Phase, which on average is 14 days for women, hence why we say you ovulate 14 days before your period starts. You can ovulate more or less than 14 days before your period, but usually it is 14. If go to my profile you can look at my ovulation tracker, it will show you when I ovulated, and when my period started, just as a visual aid. If your cycle is 30-31 days then you would ovulate on/around the 15th or 16th day of your cycle, starting with the day your period starts as Cycle Day 1. I have basically the same cycle lengths you do, so you ovulate on the same day I do...the 15th or 16th day of your cycle.

I just noticed that you had been posting on the teen pregnancy forum. It's nothing against you, but sometimes we get people that are 15 or 16 trying to get tips on how to get pregnant on this forum, and obviously we don't want to be giving them advice LOL. I just asked because I saw the teen pregnancy post but it's fine I wasn't saying anything...I just had to be sure.

I agree with the other ladies though, if you ask a fertility expert they will tell you that you ovulate about 14 days before you expect your period to start...the 14-day period leading up to your period is called your "luteul" phase, during which the egg is released and travels into the uterus...the lining of the uterus builds up to nourish an egg if it's fertilized, and it's shed with your period if conception doesn't occur. The reason your friend said 2 weeks after your period is because in a 28-day-cycle (average for most women) 2 weeks after your period and 14 days before your period are the same day :) But if you have a longer cycle, like 30-31 days, you will be ovulating more like 2weeks and 3 or 4 days after your period starts, which is still 14 days before your period is expected to start again. For most women, the difference doesn't matter but since you have a longer cycle it's important to note the difference.

I'm sorry, you would ovulate on the 16th or 17th day of your cycle since it is 30-31 days, I said 15th because my cycles are between 29-31 days.
