I'm so sorry but this just sounds ridiculous! With my first 2 pregnancies I ate cold lunch meat and they are both healthy and smart and I'm sure all our parents ate cold lunch meat and we're all fine. I've never heard of anyone pregnant having this happen to them. This must be something new cuz a year ago my sister & sister n law were both pregnant and they ate cold lunch meat and both my baby nieces are very smart healthy happy babies! Just my opinion tho

My doctor recommends roasting a boneless chicken breast & slicing it thin for Sandwiches. There's no risk of listeria contamination. Just eat the leftovers within 3 days.

That's not entirely true. You can have listerosis without any symptoms-in fact its Something we're exposed to on a regular basis without symptoms. Even if you don't have symptoms, the bacteria can affect the baby causing distress, miscarriage & still birth. While it isn't comon, it is a risk. Its up to you whether or not you think its worth the risk.

Depends where you get it. If it is nice and fresh, it is probably okay. But a ready made one on the store shelf, no way

I didn't eat it at all in the 1st 1/2 of my pregnancy but now I have been having 1 cold meat sandwich a week. My Dr said as long as you aren't eating it all the time it should be ok.
