Any moms eat deli meat without heating it up.. I'm 36 weeks and haven't eatin any deli meat without heating it up but I hate the way it taste so yesterday I couldn't take it and gave in and ate a deli meat sandwich and didn't heat it.. It tasted so good that I ate another one.. I'm a little worried though

Its one of those things that most women have no problem with, however there is the risk of Listeria out there. I'd say just make sure you go to a reputable deli, make sure they wear gloves, and only eat it when its fresh. I had been trying to go without it too but the other day I just really needed some good mortadella

It's because of the bacteria listeria. It can give you good poisoning. It's only recently that they have started advising pregnant women not to eat it. So if you aren't throwing up or having diarrhea you don't need to worry. I ate deli meats with all 4 of my other pregnancies. On occasion I can't resist still, though I try to avoid it for the most part.

My sister in law eats deli meat all the time. Her doctor never told her she couldnt. She is 30 weeks pregnant and she has been fine.
