Having the baby in the car

So I live about 40 minutes from the hospital ill be delivering at, I'm so worried that I won't make it and end up going into labor in the car lol. And that if i go into labor when my husband's not home it'll take him a good amount of time just to get here to take me or ill have to drive myself With my first baby my water broke so I knew to go in, and I lived about 5 minutes from there  but every labor is different and I've heard the second comes faster lol. Had anybody almost given birth in the car or thought they would?

Well I gave birth to my daughter in the early hours of Friday morning just gone on my bathroom floor and my partner delivered her. This was my third baby and it happened incredibly quickly. The paramedics was on the phone directing my partner on what to do. It was a very special moment but a little scary to. I had no control and certainly wouldn't have made it in time even if we had got in a car or an ambulance. I just thank god everything went as smoothly as it could of done given the situation.
I said I wanted to do it as natural as possible and I definitely got my wish. She weighed 8lbs exactly.

I wouldn't worry too much.  The midwife or doctors have things under control and can monitor you. They will send ambo if you won't make the trip. My hubby is a 30 drive when at work and a 3 hour drive to hospital.  The whole town is in the same situation and people manage all the time.  Im not at all concerned.  If really worried,  stay at a hotel near hospital around due date.

I kinda have the same problem but I live 90 minutes from the nearest hospital that can deliver my baby and the person driving me lives 20 minutes closer to the hospital in between my house and that hospital. So he has to come to my house then take me. But my sister did it so im sure I can

I live 30 minutes (with no traffic) from the birthing centre & my partner works about an hour away from our house so I'm hoping I go into labour before 6am or after 4pm when he's home!!

Check your state laws because in most places it's illegal to drive if you are in labor. Your insurance is also void so if you did crash due to having contractions you would have to pay out of.pocket for any damage.
If it will take too long for your hubby to get to you then call an ambulance. What are you going to do if you're alone in the car.and.have to deliver on the side of the road? I'm lucky that I live less than 10 mins from the hospital, but if my partner wasn't home I would be calling an ambulance.
