I used the same style nuk as the bottle nipples I used. It helped with the transition from breast to bottle. My first baby wouldn't take a nuk and transition was a little difficult
Oh and when you have the baby you should get him to breast feed first then slowly introduce the bottle because some babies will only take breast and some will only take bottle...depends on baby really :)
I agree with the other ladies....my daughter does excellent with the bottle and breast...the nurses here are anti bottle while breast feeding as well...I'm like uh I can't just wip my nipple out in public ha ha!
I was told it can confuse the baby using breast and bottle but I bottle fed expressed milk during the day and breast fed at night and never had a problem!
I do both ans my son is fine. I do the same bf when home if we are out the gets a bottle.
I supplemented formula with my daughter she turned out just fine. Any lactation specialists
Will try and tell you its one or the other that its either nursing or formula. And the try to tell you that your milk supply won't last if you just pump and bottle. My god daughter had pumped and bottles breast milk for 13 months so I know it works. At least that's what they say here. The lactation nurses are very anti bottle around here. The trick is to pump as often as your baby eats to keep your supply up. Your job and your school has a legal obligation to allow you a place to pump. I hope this is helpful. :)
