I love Leon for a boy. But my dad is giving me serious hell about it and hurting my feelings by insulting my intelligence and lack of taste for picking names. Opinions on letting your parents have an input with names?

I have come to understand that everyone has an opinion. My name of choice is Ross. Family hates it. But at the end of the day this is your child. You bond with it before anyone even gets to set eyes on him. Only you know what's the best name for your son. Don't let other people talk you out of it.

Thats not very nice of him :p its your baby and you can name him what you want. I think leon is a nice name :)

Yeah I really feel like since I'm popping it out of my vag, my judgement is pretty much priority.

My dad's middle name is leon :-) I do like the name. :-)

They should have no say so i the names are they gonna birth it? No. My mother in law is very pushy and rude at times about names with my first she said i don't deserve to name my son Gabriel because it's biblical. Ha i did anyways and I'm naming this one with my husband as well idc what she says.

I liked that name too and then shortened it to Leo and am still considering it as a real possibility, still haven't told my parents. I'm kind of scared of what they will think but at the end of the day it's my child not theirs, so in reality they don't have a say, only you do and the father if he's involved. goodluck!
