Brownie batter - egg question

I have some Pillsbury brownie batter (the one that comes in the tube) and I was eating some, because I think the batter is WAY better than actual brownies and I didn't really think about the raw egg thing until after. I looked on the ingredients and the only egg mentioned is "dried egg whites (contains citric acid and yeast)". Will this have caused any harm, or is it safe?

Good to hear, thank you!

Oh yeah, I don't even feel the brownies are worth eating if I at least don't get one bite of the batter, it is by far the best part! haha

That should be fine, If there were raw eggs it would say something like raw eggs don't eat unless cooked or something like that.

I agree, I LOVE the batter much better than the end product!

yeah i wouldn't worry about it.  i wouldn't really suggest eating anymore though. but if you do eat something your not supposed to, you'll know shortly if it did any harm because you'll have similar symptoms of food poisoning. most of the time within 48 hours. so i'm sure you're fine.
but i know all about the brownie batter stuff..i LOVE it, and its so hard making brownies or even cookies without eating any of the dough/batter. i think im going to make a thing of cookie dough and leave out the eggs and just eat the whole thing one of these days lol.

I am sure that it is safe to taste especially if it is only the egg whites... It is usually the yolk that causes the problems. I wouldn't go overboard and eat a ton of it but I am sure tasting it isn't going to cause problems.
