Buying before shower

I know everyone says to wait until your baby shower to start buying stuff, but that is going to drive me crazy! I have a friend who gave me some baby clothes and a bassinet, but I wanna buy stuff! I'm only 22+3, but I was just wondering what are some things I could get before the baby shower? I just want to feel a little bit more prepared.

I say go ahead and buy what you want for your kid. I didn't depend on the baby shower for items and i brought all if the big items and stocked up on diapers and wipes. At the time, I was working at a department store and was able to get things at a very good discount. But if you see a good sale, go for it.

Buy! With my first I got a $500 gift card to babies r us but had already had all her clothes, diapers and wipes. My second I bought stuff and no one gave me anything I already had at the baby shower. People tend to buy newborn and size one diapers, so stock up on size twos and threes and buy cases of wipes. You can never go wrong in buying your own baby clothes because you know for sure they will be to your taste. I say buy anything and everything you want and if you get duplicates at the baby shower, take it back and use the money for something else that you need for baby!!!

The main things ppl give at baby showers arw clothes and well  you can never have to much clothes I would buy like the main things u need if u really wanna shop

I bought anything I found a good deal on... I figured I might as well get it cheap... I just had my baby shower and the stuff I already had I returned to walmart and were usuing the gift card for diapers ect

I stocked up on diapers and wipes...butt creams, things like that. You can even put money on a reload able gift card if your not sure what kind of diapers you want to buy yet and use the gift card once baby is here. Washcloths, just a couple outfits, bc ppl will buy you baby clothes at a shower. I got the crib changing table and dresser also...most really pricey things people won't buy at a shower unless a few people are in on it
