Can my baby have dwarfism even though there's nobody in both families with that desorder?

I am worried about the abnormal measurments of my baby's limbs, they measure less than normal. People have talked to me about dwarfism, but i thought that it is geneticaly acquired. I am 5'3 and my husband is 5'10, they told me that it could be that the baby is going to be as short as her mom, but i still worried about dwarfism.
What have you heard?

Lol! i'm no longer scare, what i realy feard was that she wouldn't be able to walk or something like that. valuable things come in small packages, it doesn't matter how everything turn out to be, because i love her no matter what, she is the only family i have.

By the way... I hope I didn't scare you w/my suggestion about dwarfism on your last post, it was not my intent at all.  You mention your fairly short in stature... It's definitely a chance that your baby will just take after you and be small.

As others said, there are other things they'd look for if the suspected dwarfism, AND they'd have talked to you more about it by now.

Yes, the baby can have dwarfism even if it does not run in either of your families.  Most dwarf babies are actually born to average size parents with no history. In some instances it is gentics but majority of time it is not.

Most likely baby is going to take after Mommy tho. Do not worry they can tell in utero if baby will be a dwarf. There are other markers they look for as well as short limbs.
