Claiming unborn baby
Can my bf claim our baby on his insurance without my consent? And can he claim her on taxes already without me knowing?.. She will be born next month
Maybe you guys can compromise? like you claim her every other year starting the year she is born? Just a suggestion but if it eventually went to court that is the most likely outcome
Wow this is a lot of info.. I know for sure he wil def sign the birth certificate.. We will be getting an apartment soon. It will be ready in sept.. And for taxes i know i will do mine first cuz he always waits till last min. So ok maybe one year i could do it and another he can. I dont mind him claiming her I JUST feel like ill loose my right as a mother and if he ever wanted to take custody he would win because he does thats my whole thing
Well he has to have her for more than half of the tax year and have proof ie child care expenses. If not he will be audited and have to pay back what ever he gets for child tax credit.
If he signs the birth certificate then he is legallt her parent also and file for a ssn card for her, he can file her on his taxes but it just depends who files their taxes first. If you file before he does you will get the.money if he files before you do he will get the money. Its all about timing. And if he doesnt sign the birth certificate it could make thinga alot harder for you down the road....

If you're taking him for child support and he gets behind they'll take his taxes regardless if he claims the baby or you do.
I know where going to fight about this but hell get over it .. I just wish hed not argue with me about it

Just don't give him the ssn, if you don't need the baby on his INS then he doesn't need the number to add them.

oh hell no. thats gotta be illegal, your not married so you have physical custody. if you filed her on your taxes he could get in trouble
My baby daddy did all he neded was the babies social and were not even married and the baby doesnt have his last name! :)
