So confused on how far along I am

I went to the doctor two weeks ago, they said according to the first day of my last period, I would be 8wks3days but last week I went to another doctor, got my ultra sound, they also said I would be around there but took the ultra sound and the baby was about 5wks5days (at that time.) So which is it?

Alright thanks, I was just so confused because they are so concerned about the first day of the last period and then the ultrasound showed 3 weeks later.

Although doctors usually calculate due dates using your last period, the ultrasound is more accurate to estimate gestational age. There is no way to calculate the exact moment of conception but I would say to use the ultrasound as the most accurate. They will be doing another ultrasound around 20weeks to check gender and measurements so if they need adjust your due dates they may at that point.

Id go by your ultrasound date. Its usually fairly accurate.
