Me and my bf been dating for 8 months and were expecting or first baby together.. I just started working and he has a job but doesnt make much.. He thinks we can afford an apartment and i told him we cant i want to live in my parents basement and payy 400 a month.. Hes pissed cuz he doesnt want to live in my parents house.. Am i being unreasonable?

Its fine to live with family...a lot of people do and it might even be easier to have family there to give you guys a break.  He needs to think of it as a temprary thing and not perminate.  I know men are head headed lol try showing him on paper the budget plan that it wont work to get a apt.  Its nice to have extra money when you have a baby.  he should take advantage of your parents letting you guys stay there.so you are able to save.money up for a apt.  Good luck!

Yea i did all the calculations.. I like to plan .. So when i did i know we cant afford it.. We both have student loans and we both have other bills .. He doesnt understand.. And i told him if his patents had a big basement i wouldnt mind living there cuz that he wouldnt mind either.. But they dont

Make out a budget plan that includes rent electric food baby items house hold items car and see how much extra money u guys would have left from his pay

I can understand not wanting to live at your parents house, I wouldn't want to live at my in laws house. but if you guys reallyy can't afford to get an apartment your not being unreasonable your bring realistic.
