I just had my son on the 1st and got an epidural...i loved it. Didnt feel it at all when they were giving it to me and was happy not to feel my contractions. I dont think i would have made it without one lol

I didn;t want it, however I physically wasn;t allowed ot move during labour as the tiniest movement sent my son;s heart rate too low, and although my contractions weren;t that bad, I did tend to stretch them out cause I had back labour, so they gave me the epi about 5cm to keep me still to regulate my sons heart rate.   The epi itself sisn't hurt and I ended up with an emergency section so I would have needed one eventually anyway

I got it because I HAD to, not because I wanted to. I felt the whole thing and hated every minute of it. Hurt like crazy. I didn't wanna get one because I didn't think the contractions were too bad personally. :)

I'm being induced on thursday and will probably have one. It all depends on how bad my contractions are and how fast labor goes for me. :) good luck!

Just hang in there and see how far you can go without it.... rather choose another option like meds in your iv. It can be dangerous. Breathing is soooo important!!!

I didn't feel the needle go it. I didn't feel anything I was to focus on how bad my contractions was. But it just takes a few min. I loved it after like a few mins. I was reading a magazine and as happy as ever lol. Because a few mins before I was just cussing everone out especially my sis and my mom for coming in the room eating! And taking pictures! Lol

Being induced because it is going to be a big baby. And I've got so fed up too. My bp has been raised the last couple weeks. I'll be 40+2. I'm hoping my cervix is open enough for them to break my waters

I was able to go without an epidural for my 2 previous pregnancies....I was induced with my first child and even though the doctor told me I would need it I declined...honestly I'm scared of needles so I rather deal with labor pain than a needle in my back lol
