Genetics

My mother in law said since there's brown eyes in the family, that our baby is likely to have brown eyes, but my husband & I both have blue eyes & I heard if you have blue eyes, your baby will only have colored eyes? I'm not sure & I really don't care what color eyes baby has. I'm just curious. My daughter has blue eyes btw

I'm not sure how it works but both my husband and I have brown eyes and our son has bright blue eyes. Everyone said babys eyes would change in the first 6mths but they didn't, still blue. The only person with blue eyes in our family tree is my husbands grandfather so our baby's great grandfather.

I believe I have heard that since blue is recessive, two blue-eyed parents cannot have a brown-eyed baby.

You could end up with a blue eyed baby most likely. But there is a possibility of brown eyes
