Gestational Diabetes

Today I finally saw my high risk dr. I am 31w4d preggo. I having been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, just got my meter and log book today. When I first got it, I thought it was gonna be like the end if my world, but I realize that it's only the beginning. Testing my blood sugar is going to allow me to be more conscious of what I eat and how much of what I eat. I may even shed a few lbs in the process. I am so excited. It's unfortunate that this is what it took for me to open my eyes but thru this circumstance I can see the light :). Pray for me y'all.

I had GD with my 3 son and was very petite and had a 7lb 14oz baby. I'm in the clear on my 4, so best wishes and you will be just fine and maybe even better like u said;-)

I have gd and it's not the greatest thing ever..  I'm at 117lbs 37wks..

Well that's a very positive attitude to have! I go for my GD test next week, pretty nervous!

Good luck dear! I had a friend skinny as a rail with gd. I hope u can stick w it she had a hard time but baby was full term and 7lbs. Most babies w moms tht have gd r huge! U got this girl!!!
