Husband's stepmom annoys me...

I absolutely love my husband's mother! But his stepmom is soooo annoying. She complained how my parents bought a lot of things for the baby. Said Wish they hadnt done that. Ummmm, why does it matter? And it doesnt matter to me if she gets anything for the baby either! I rather not go there. She told me one day How her other daughter in law wouldn't have had a baby shower or things for her 3 kids if it wasnt for her. She had this attitude when she said it. She wanted to throw one for me too and i said No. I had a mini shower and plan to have a meet the new baby BBQ after hes a month old :)

Yea I try to avoid her as much as possible so I dont go off on her. She has said other things about my relationship with my hubby too. I try my best to let it go so I dont look like the bad one. Just didnt understand Why it would matter to her If my parents wanted to get things for their grandson. Her oldest son said Shut up Mom! Her parents can do whatever they want!  I was laughing inside.

I've been dealing with crappy family issues also. Don't let it bring you down focus on the positive people and cut out the rest. On the bright side for me at least it's one less person I have to share my baby with!

She sounds bitter.  At least you're being the bigger person and letting her comments roll off of you. I hope she has a sudden attitude change for your sake. Kinda sounded like she was implying you might have a miscarriage when she was comparing you. Hard to deal with negative people like that sometimes but you are already positive about it so I'm sure all will go well for you. :)
