.......Need to talk about it again, as it is on my mine. I need to know what you guys think of having a second baby shower, or what we are calling it a baby sprinkle. As my mom and I are doing the invitations tonight, I just cant stop thinking that some might not think its right to have two. And think, I’m greedy…..I mean all of my family and my hubby family only have one for each baby, as I will be the 1st to have a second one. I just think its to welcome that baby into the world, you know? I just don’t want anyone to think I’m greedy…… I really dont care what my side thinks, because its my side...LOL(were closer then hubby side) my hubby side I just dont know.....Not like anyONE showed up to my 1st baby shower....so IDK!

Pins, bottle diaper galore
Toni & Jarrett are having one more
Big brother Ethan has plenty to share
This is only a sprinkle to show that we care
Please join us in a celebration before the baby is due
It is official the color is blue


And then we have this going inside each of them, not the exact writhing but I think you get it …..

The littlest thing we ask from you….and then I listing little thing I need and also put at the bottom I was registered at target as well….

I still think Its okay to have a second baby shower for the same baby!!! Especially of not everyone could make it to the first one. It will give them a chance to be able to make it to this one, and celebrate the new little one that is on its way. Have fun and enjoy!!!

I see nothing wrong with it either.  I just had my baby shower Saturday and seeing how I live in England none of my family could be there because they all live in the states.  So, my family and friends back home are doing a shower in a box and they will send it to me by mail.  So it's kinda like having two in a way..lol

There isnt anything selfish in it.  Expecially since you arent asking for any gifts.  I think that its right to celabrate a new life!  My mom has 7 kids, and she said that she had four baby showers, so... who knows.  It just depends on if and what yo uneed but most important, as you've noted, it seems like you're just happy to have your friends and family celabrating the new life of this little one.

i think its just fine to have one for each baby...it's to celebrate a new life.  What some people do is request donaions to go to a favorite charity instead of gifts...chances are nooone will want to go to that trouble and will just buy a gift or give money ...that way your baby gets stuff and you dont look "greedy" to the inlaws

Okay, WAIT A SECOND!! Now I feel stupid...I didnt read the post right lol I thought you meant 2 showers for one baby. Sorry, disregard the question I asked on the above post sorry!! Ohhh okay I get it now. I always thought that each baby gets a shower?? Or is it only the first baby?? I would want a shower for each baby, personally. I don't think its inappropriate at all!! Actually I would want for each baby to have a shower, not just one of them. I say GO FOR IT!

I think its good!! My job is throwing me a baby shower ( I don't know when but I know it's sometime this month on a Friday),  and then my Godfamily is throwing me one as well. You know, to be honest I didnt' even think i was going to have one, planning for a baby shower never came to my mind like that but I think its a great idea!! I don't think at all its about being greedy!!! I know you wrote "need to talk about it again" but this is the first time I'm seeing this post so I wanted to ask you is why do you want a 2nd baby shower. I dunno my question might sound rude, but no I'm just curious as to why...lol. I'm having 2 and even though I didnt' ask for both, I dont mindl that I'll be getting 2.

I have heard some people say they don't think you should have a shower for a second child but I don't see why not...we always have had them in my family and/or church, etc.  You're always going to need more diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.  And clothes and sheets get stained and can't all be re-used.  Things get worn out.  I definitely think it's okay.  You're poem is cute, too!

its a new baby, in my family we have a shower for every new baby.  like with me, my daughter and this baby will be 8 years apart, i dont have anything from my first, i definately need to have a shower!!! i think every new life deserves a baby shower :)

I dont see a problem with it honestly. I have heard that the ladies at my work are throwing one for me, but at the same time I have other friends that will want to go to a baby shower for me that obviously wont be invited to the one at my work because they throw it at work and do a potluck type thing or order pizza or something like that. I dont see why it is wrong to have a second baby shower.

I was in a similar dilemma and wondered if it was wrong to throw your own baby shower if nobody else offers to do it. My mom is not the social type, and doesnt do things like that, but though this is baby number 3 and its been almost 8 years since my youngest was born. I still have a feeling that one of my friends is going to want to throw one. It's still pretty early since I have the entire summer to go still. I guess the girls at work are doing it in August.

It's a celebration of each new life, and always a celebration of the mommy!!
I read an article that was on this exact topic, and bottom line they agreed that a shower for any pregnancy is never inappropriate.

I see nothing wrong with it it's a new baby you need some new things too....so don't worry about it....I'm getting 2 showers just for this pregnancy.
