How lond until I know if I´m pregnant?

Hi, I´m 30 years old.  This month I started my  period on 4th September, I have a more or less regular cycle which in the last 5 months has varied between 27 and 31 days.  I had unprotected sex on the 16th and 18th of September.  I´d love to have a baby and was wondering how long it would take to know I´m pregnant?  At the moment I haven´t noticed any changes of any sort.  Thank you for you help!!!  Alba

Alba, good luck to you and glad you are planning ahead. All good things come to those that wait. I know it is hard to wait but patients is your best friend at this time. Like the person said aove signs and symptoms are not always accurate. I will put you in my prayers in the hope that you will conceive and and have a healthy pregnancy and baby. Please keep me up to date and let me know if you have any other questions.  Some pregnancy test state the will give an accurate results 6 days before your period is due. But I have never used these so don't know how accurate they are. GOOD LUCK

You can't always go by signs/symptoms. They're not always accurate. Signs/symptoms can be the cause of many different things. AF starting, stress, hormones etc....

So I would say wait at least 2 weeks before performing any kind of HPT. If you test before that, you will not get an accurate result

I know I could buy a pregnancy test but if I had sex on the 16th and 18th Sept. when should my body give me signs??

Hi Waldosbait.  Thank you for your answer, my partner and I have spoken about it a lot and we´d both be happy if I fell pregnant.  It´s not a case of intentionally trying (for example by planning sex around my ovulation etc) but we´re not using protection either so we are relaxed about, just having fun I guess and hoping for the best, if it´s meant to be it will be!  But it´s always in the back of my mind and I wish I didnt have to wait until the day of my period to know if I´m pregnant or not!  That´s why I wanted to know if there´s any way I could tell before or HOW early I would be able to tell?!

The best thing to do is relax about it. The more you worry about it the harder it is. first response pregnancy test states it can detect if your pregnant 6 days before you would normally start your period. But I have never used it so don't know how accurate it really is. I don't know your situation but please make sure you are completely ready having a baby it is a big responsibility. Make sure your partner is also ready for this big decision.
