Thanks ladies, I just finished up there. After all they were really supportive and caring, my husband is really caring and supportive just didn't want his past to effect it. I was more upset when she brought up my father and mother as I don't talk to them. But it was good to tell her how I was on medication for anxiety due to my childhood.
Hi, I'm in Australia too :) They just ask those questions to screen you for postnatal depression. You are not obliged to disclose anything you don't want to and they wont check you or your partners criminal history however if you have been subjected to domestic violence in the past (or don't want him present at the hospital) you should let them know as they believe previous trauma can increase the likelihood of postnatal depression.
I don't think so Iive in the USA and have a bad background from years ago. (I'm trying to get it takin care of)
