Is gestational age the day i concieved? very confused

Hello my lmp was october 10 2009 and i usally have 5 day periods with 2 days of brown spotting which would put it ending on october 17 2009. i had my first ultra sound on december 6 and the ultra sound said i was 7 weeks and 1 day. do i count back using this (the gestational age) to figured out the day i concieved. the doctor gave me a due date of july 27 2010?

You use your LMP to determine due date. Ovulation occurs roughly two weeks before your period. The length or heaviness of your period have no bearing on conception.

All dates are estimated and can be off by up to 1-2 weeks.

Gestational Age is counted from the first day of your last menstual period thought conception doesn't actually happen until a couple of weeks give or take after that.

using a calculator it gives a range of likely dates of conception between October 26-31.
