Joy- They have not gotten the tissue so they can't test it. When I had the D&C done last year they did not have enough to test of the tissue. These doctors I am seeing now are the original OB doctors, until I got pregnant last time I switched to Dr. Pigg and Dr. Gibson. They left town becaues of the way the hospital here was. Our hospital is HORRIBLE. They were gonna send me home with me still bleeding and clotting and tell me I passed everything the ultrasound was clear. When I saw the ultrasound and there was a baby still there. So when I got pregnant this time I was very upset I didn't get to go to them. So, I said I would try this place one more time. I'm thinking about seeing if my insurance will cover a doc about an hour from here. There really are not any good OBs here. We have 4 at one practice and 2 others at different practices. I go to the one that has 4 and One of the other two delivered my friends baby breech and I haven't heard good stories about and the other one told me when I needed to go to the ER for a D&C last time that I should stay home and deal with the pain. So, I really don't like any of them. I couldn't get into the doctors office fast enough for progesterone. I told them and they said the earliest they could see me was the 7th of September. I do have low progesterone. I feel like Dr. P and Dr. G were the only ones who cared...and they tried to solve the problem. No other doctor here cares. As for baby aspirin I'm already taking those. They told me my blood was too thick.
Aspirin? Aspirin can cause miscarriage :/ anyway I'm so sorry! Talk to someone and get checked out & hopefully things can get fixed to where you will have a 2011 baby!
very sorry to hear this is happening to you again - it is such a horrible thing to go through and to have had four must be utterly heartbreaking. I agree with what others have said - much can be done once they find out why this is happening. Make sure you ask your doc lots of questions when you go next time, so that you have an action plan from the moment you ttc. They should be able to monitor you from the very begining and work out what is happening. I have always thought that once a women has three mc in a row they begin investigations and intervention - so sorry and you are in my thoughts.
I am so sorry this is happening again.. I would look into getting a different doctor, someone who cares more to get you in as soon as you find out your pregnant, so maybe they can get you on progestrone.
I also agree with one of the other ladies about requesting to be checked for Factor V5.. I read a book about a lady who had continual miscarriages around 6-8 weeks and finally when she got a new doctor they tested her for it and she was able to carry her baby to full term. IDK Just a suggestion!
Your in my prayers tonight and God Bless
Do you trust your doctor after having experienced four miscarriages and not being able to get in fast enough to get levels checked? And the fact they wouldn't test any tissue samples you had to see *why* this is happening? Or do you think you'll find someone else? It sounds to me like there is something going on but that does not mean you need to give up hope of someday having a child. If you have a blood clotting disorder taking a baby aspirin everyday can prevent miscarriage. If you have progesterone issues taking progesterone can help. And there are probably other various things that can be dealt with.
Anyway you are in my heart tonight. I'm so so so sorry you're going through this again!
So sorry to here that you are experiencing this. Could i suggest that you speak to your doctor about blood clotting disorders. Factor V (5) is just one that can cause clots in the umbilical cord. The time frame of your miscarriages would fit something like this.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you and your future children.
