Vaginal Birth after C-Section

Good afternoon ladies, during my first pregnancy I had a c-section. I've heard rumors that once you have 1 c-section, then you always will have one. Is that true? If so, then why?

I'm in TX too. Depends on your doc and the hospital. My doc would do it, but the hospital wont. Its a huge liability issue. I hope it eases up one day though. I wont be having any more babies so it wont be an option for me.
