Names. UGGG, I can't think of girl names...

So I know I have 18.5 weeks left but I just can NOT think of girl names that really spark my interest.  I can think of boy names all day long but that doesn't help me.  The 2 girls I already have are Alexandra MacKayla and Samantha Abigail.

I've been thinking of Kylie, Kayleigh, Olivia, Isabelle, Emma and Elaina but those are all becoming very common and I don't want my kid to be one of six other kids in the class with the same name.  I would also like to the nicname at 4 letters.  My kids now go by Alex, Abby, Zach and Gabe so it's kind of a theme, stupid I know but that's just how it worked out.

I was also thinking of trying to do something to honor my grandfather but his name was Elgin August so there isn't a WHOLE lot you can get out of that for a girl.   I don't want anything really common but I don't want anything strangely unusual either...so who's got some suggestions?

I like Alaynah too...very purty :). When my husband and I first were dating 8 years ago he told me if he ever had a daughter he wanted to name her Kahlan...it's from a book series that he loves. I ended up reading the series and falling in love with the name too...so when they told us we were having a girl, we knew what her name would be and it fits her to a T....however, the boy name we had originally picked out and "knew for years that we would use" got nixed the minute we got pregnant again this time. Go figure, lol. The other girl name we had got nixed as well..so we started this pregnancy fresh with names.

Oh my....my hubby and I differ on names too. It's so bad. I have the opposite prob though...I can think of many girls names but boys names are tough. We will hopefully find out what we're having in a few weeks and that'll take a load off one gender!! LOL
I like the name Elaina too. August sounds nice for sure. Maybe you wont decide completely until she arrives!!

I realized last night just how much DH and I differ on names... I mentioned using Augusta or Augustine but he prefers August, I think August is more masculine than the other two.  UGGGG.  either I'm gonna have to **** him off and name her whatever *I* want or I'm gonna have to suck it up and name my child something I hate.

Last night I was thinking about Alannah and Alaynah (Elaina only diff spelling) If I skipped the whole August thing It could be Alannah Grace or Alaynah Grace..either could have the nicname Ally or Lana (pronounced Lay nah) DH will probably hate those names tho
