I am definitely going to challenge my self to have an all natural birth. I believe in mental healing and mind over matter. I have only taken one pain reliever pill in my life for my wisdom teeth (i didnt feel like it made much of a difference so i stuck it out with out meds) i believe the mind is more powerful then we give it credit. You can accomplishanything you set your mind too. I have a high tolorence to pain, but for some odd reason i am a baby when it comes to needles, so i know i wont get that epidural unless i absolutely need it.
My mom had me all natural and she said it wasnt that bad.defiantly not as bad as other people make it serm/movies. But with my little sister she tried the epidural (she said she didnt need to, it was just to see the difference) she said it was way worse with it. You are really loopy and drugged, then when it wears off you feel sick.
It intervens with the bodys natural way of healing its self.
Just keep you head up and remember your goals(:
I had my son at 16 all natural and he was 8 lbs 6oz. I was fine.. everyone takes the pain differently. Good luck im sure you will be fine :)
So many women go natural. Just believe in yourself and keep your mind on your family. You will do just great.
People think I'm crazy for it but I don't care. Just make a birthplan and let everyone know what you want and not to suggest painmeds. Also try lots of different birthing positions on your back is the worst. 9$ birthing/gym ball from Walmart helps. I'll also have a squatting bar for delivery and people think I'm crazy. Natural is obviously possible for everyone IRS what you were built for.
Im aiming for natural as well. I dont see restricting myself to the hospital bed as my only option. I plan on having a birthing ball available, a delivery pool accessible, taking walks as needed...any position that can pretty much make me feel as comfortable as possible. Im really anxious as I have a few weeks left but pain or not going natural is a personal choice you have to set your mind to. Once you do set your mind anything is possible. Remember, our bodies were naturally made for this :) (natural or not is okay; whatever works for you)
I plan on going natural and people keep telling me the same thing!! I'm just using it as motivation. They think I can't so I'll show them I can!
Natural labour can be done!! I went natural with my first you can use a tens machine to disrupt the pain signals to your brsin and for me it worked a treat and it's completely natural
I'm going all natural!!!! I had three failed epidurals with my daughter and to be honest my back still hurts from it and my daughter is 6 months old!!! With barely any meds in my system I did amazing delivering my daughter!!!! I felt her crowning of course but it didn't hurt. It felt like I had to take the biggest poop of my life. Lol. I had no tearing what so ever. You can do it all natural if you put your mind to it! Don't let others tell you different!
