No epidural ?

So I only have 8 days until my due date and I am determined to do it naturally and with no epidural, I'd like to hear some mommies that went through that or if you're also planning on doing the same how are you preparing yourself ? Any tips?

Thank you ladies yes my mother is my biggest inspiration and a couple of aunts and cousins they tell me the same thing that were made for this so I'm sure I can do it as long as I stay with a positive mind set ! Thanks again so much for getting me even more pumped :D

And as for the comment about the back pain... idk if it's coincidence or really true. But also with my mom, she has a terrible back and multiple problems with it. I honestly feel like it could be due to so many epidurals, but I don't think theres anything that proves it yet..

Im planning on going as long as I can without it. Im not making any decisions because you never know what could go on. Im going to really try to go without though. I plan on making sure I breathe, have the lights low, some music on (or TV to distract me), and either bouncing on a ball or all fours (I've heard it helps baby into correct position). And also eating ice, plenty of ice!! :)
My mom has had 5 kids and swears by the epidural and thinks I'm crazy but I just keep telling her "women have done this for centuries without any meds." This is what our bodies were MADE to do! Its natural; if we weren't able to, then our bodies wouldn't be capable. It's really all in your head, but we could all definitely get through it :)

Hi I had the epidural after 30 hours of labour with my daughter, at the time it was great I was in agony so anything to stop the pain I would do.
After 8 hours on the epidural I had my daughter I felt everything besides the contrations I even got up walking around not long after wich I thought was weird cas I thought the epidural was ment to make you numb from the waist down.. not me it just made me not feel contractions thats it.
Anyway it was great I loved it..
Until this second pregnancy!  I feel like my back is completely stuffed it cracks & aches all the time and to be honest I think its from the epidural... also after the epidural I had constant head aches for a while that no pain killer could take the pain away...

Hey,  I'm 21 and had my son completely natural,  no gas or pepidine or epidural! I completely recommend it,  not gonna lie it's painful & he was a big baby for my first (9lbs11oz) but you feel like super woman after it!  Your adrenaline kicks in & you feel like running a marathon, well I did anyways! ;) I'm 10wks today on my second & planning On a natural birth for this one too! But as my man says each to there own so if you fell like you can, do it! :D

I'm ftm and also planning on an unmediated birth with no epidural. The way I'm preparing myself is by talking to close friends how have children and have done all different kinds of births, that way no matter which one happens I at least have an idea of what's going on. In college I was required to take the entry level   course for being a midwife which really helped me learn a lot
