I'm a ftm & also plan on going on natural well hopefully if everything goes well. I have no pain tolerance but I want to atleast give it a try.
This is my first and I plan on doing it natural! Lol
I soooo wanted to. I think it's great. But now my baby is breach and c-section it is... I'm having a very hard time with that because we were so well prepared and had dreams of this beautiful natural experience. If you can do it, just do it! Its gonna be so worth it looking at your baby knowing how awesome your body is for making that sweet angel!
Thank you all for your input! I have been doing a lot of research as well! Because I really wanna do it but I'm scared so I want to be prepared cause this is my first baby! So I'm going to try my hardest to not cave and do what I can to be informed before hand!
I did with my first born and I plan to again with this one! I loved being in control of everything my body did.
I was wanting to go natural but they told me I had to get an epidural ( only because I was induced and was 3 days in labour) so I just went with the flow and I thought it was amazing, I went from 1 and half cm to 10 within 4 hours and didn't feel a thing I got break through pain (this doesn't mean the epidural has run out because it doesn't it just means that the contractions are getting stronger so they are breaking through the epidural and they are very painful but it it would be way worse in my opinion if I didn't have it and all I did was tell the doc and he topped me up with a stronger dose which kicks in after 10 mins and again you don't feel anything! And you can move your legs, I thought it was brilliant and couldn't imagine doing it now without it.. but its up to yourself, this is only my experience.. xx
With both of my boys I had an epidural and I couldn't feel the contractions either. But my doctor told me when to push.
@ChefBlu the dr wont tell you when to push, you will have to remember about how far apart they are and you will be telling them when youre pushing again. They will check the monitor and if youre mid-contraction they will say yes or no depending how strong its reading.
I'm still thinking about it... I kept leaning more towards an epidural in the beginning but then I did a little research and found out that it could take longer and you don't feel your contractions so your doctor has to tell you when to push. I really want to be comfortable so I'm still doing my research
Have you seen "the business of being born"?
I think its awesome if you want to do it, but I also know its not for everyone and thats okay too so if you do cave and need an epidural then thats fine dont feel down :) its key to have a good support team.
I think thats great! I want to do the same thing :)
