OT....any ideas

Money is really tight right now since my husband does hardwood floors in homes and building is down.  I have my real estate license but really dont want to work the slow market right now.  My husband is usually at work from 8am-6pm  I stay home with our son ...I would like to find a job making 7 dollars an hour or more at night maybe from 6-12 or even 5-11 some time like that.  I can leave my son with my grandma for an hour or so until my husband could get him but dont want her to keep him too long....I usually don't go to bed until sometime between 11 and 1 anyways.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Just in case you don't know where to start...this is a good place:

www.gaccrra.org

I use a licensed home daycare provider here in Laurens County.

Well ladies, i cant say I love hospitals, but I definitely dont dislike them. I am going to have to have a c section with my baby, and am definitely looking forward to the 3 to 4 day stay in the hospital. I cant wait!

yeah I am thinking I will get licensed.  My mom did licensed daycare in our home while I was growing up.

For childcare...call local child care centers...also find your local child care licensing agency and contact them for information on homebased daycares...then you can get a listing and call for pricing to get an idea of what's being charged in your area.  Keep in mind though that a lot of people want a LICENSED home daycare.

i am thinking about doing childcare in my home but if not I will prob try and get a hospital job or something.  What do yall think is a fair price per week to keep a child?  Food would be provided my me and I would teach A,B,C's, Phonics, Numbers and Bible (if the parent wanted) ...we live near a military base if that makes any differance.

LOL! Only us, rachie! When my hubby had to go to the ER I was grinning like a cheshire cat and he's like, "What is your problem?" And I just took a deep breath and said, "I love it here."

Well, I don't really like the ER, but I like the hospitals. I worked in the kitchen at a hospital and delivered food to the patients. It is DEFINITELY a great workout, too. Having to push those heavy carts of food and just walking, walking, walking, then picking up all the trays and doing the dishes. May not sound like fun, but I really loved it.

I actually loved the nursing home more. It's like a mini-hospital and the old elderly are SO cute. Especially when you see little couples. Although it is hard when someone dies and you throw away their diet card. You get attached to 'em. I always had my "favorites".

So whenever I'm at the hospital and I see the food someone is delivered, I can usually guess their "diet" and know what they might go through. Like people coming out of surgery usually have clear liquid diets (broth, jello, juice). I just love it. I could go on and on!

OH my goodness...I have never met another person like myself that loves hospitals....LOL  People think i'm crazy when i say that.  I can't wait to have another baby just so i can stay for a few days.  :)  I was talking about this with my husband lastnight.  ONe of the cleaning services (my other favorite thing to do) had an add needing someone to clean a medical facility at night....I think I might check into that.  THanks Joy!

When I was in highschool I worked at a nursing home and later a hospital. I would def. check out what's available at the hospitals as nursing homes don't usually have positions past 7 pm.

At the hospital, you can either clean or work in the kitchen/cafeteria. I made over $8 an hour doing that, with no experience!

I LOVE hospitals. When I have to be there for someone, or to give birth, appointments, I just love it! The smell, the atmosphere, the business... I would so work at one if I didn't have kids!
