In need of help!!

I need help from you ladies to investigate something for me since we ladies are good at this lol. So my boyfriendr just got "divorce" from his ex wife . It took him about a year of fighting to convice her to give him the divorce papers. However he got married in Nevada his ex is there along with his two kids he had with her. We live in Minnesota and he couldn't make it to the court house there to get divorced so they held a court hearing over the phone. Is it possible to get divorced over there phone because we think she hired someone to call him pretending to be a judge. But any ways the judge told him he had to pay 600 $ of child support a months. How is that possible when he only makes 1500 a month!!!! Plus we have bills car payments rent and so much. Doesn't the judge look at all that before deciding what he will pay. The judge also told him he had no rights towards his kids that the other girl would get full custody. That doesn't make since right??? What should we do??

My boyfriend pays 720$ a month for two kids and we are also expecting a baby any day now! We were told that our baby and I will not be included in his bills and that he is to pay the 720 a month it could be higher. So she gets about half of his weekly paycheck and the rest goes for us. and we also have to provide anything the boys need while with us she doesnt have to send anything to help out. But also in our state (wv) if you pay child support you are granted some type of visitation or contact with your child or children.

I put childsupport on my ex & its for one kid he only gives $135 every two wks & i live in Nevada in vegas, im sure he can finalize divorce ovet phone but childsupport i think thats too much cuz my ex had a girl and two kids & judge told me that they counted too so for his income of $2100 thats all he is paying so i would call the childsupport line in Nevada and if its true he will b in the system& if its true if its over court than it will b taken out of his paycheck just tell him to call childsupport services & to make sure they hv his income & that he has a bby coming with u! Im sure that will change the situation Good Luck!

Well I never have been through a divorce but have been through a court child custody case in las Vegas, NV. In Nevada child support is 18% for 1 child and goes to 24% for 2 children. Now that is based off gross income not what he brings home. If the filing was strictly for divorce then that's all the judge would handle. If he wants partial custody/visitation with the children then he would have to file for that. In which the filing has to take place in the state of which the children live. I hope this is of some help to you. Also yes he can do court by phone if he is unable to make the hearing.

I had got mine finalized over the phone because I was 2000 miles away. And in the state I live in they can take 50% of the income for child support. It varies from state to state.

Same here in MN so I am assuming its the same in Nevada I just find it do unfair that the judge said he would speak or visit his children even when he is paying her child support. And she had a better job then him

In my state its based off of pay stubs. They take 17.5% for 1 and 25% for two. Some states have public records.. look into that? I would definitely call the courthouse and see tho.

On ur first question it definitely is possible to get divorced on the phone as long as he provided them with the address to have the divorce decree sent to. My husband did all their correspondence for his divorce thru the mail. The child support thing I'm going tell u like I was explained, it doesn't natter how much he makes those kids will be taken care of and if she isn't wrkn that's more than fair to support his kids. First and foremost they won't even view u a factor truth be told. I kno it sounds mean but it is what it is
