Ashiepooh you are TOO CUTE!! I love the second one.
Well me i had to wait a LONG time before he came online (deployed) and then i told him and he kept asking me over and over again if i was lying. Then i turned on my cam and i showed him the pregnancy test and he believed me. Then i told him i knew it was gonna happen because after 5 months of no sex men have SUPER SPERM! LOL!
Well, with my first kid...My husband kept telling me...
My second one, I had a dream I was delivering a boy, and I took a test the next night, walked into the bed room and threw it at him, and said...,"You see what happens when you can't stay off of me!" LMAO ahaha and I had a boy...
This time, I took a test, waited for him to get home and said..."I need a bigger car..."and he asked why, and I said...(while handing him the test)"This is why..."
ahaha
Oh... and with the next baby I'm gonna get him a shirt or bib that reads "BIG brother as of ..../2010" which is when I want my next one.
When I found out that I was this last time I couldn't call my hubby because my phone was dead and I was at the doc office for a bug/spider/tick bite. I got home and took him in the other room and he immediately knew.
He called his parents and said hey papaw how are you? He didn't pick up on it b/c dh's nephews where there and one of them happened to answer. So then he started talking and fil said wait you called me papaw....really???
My parents I took alphabet magnets over to their house and put congrats nanny and pop pop...March 2009...boy? girl?
Sadly I had a miscarriage a few days later...
This is baby #4 for us so as i am not working an have a 7yr old an a 2yr old an a 1yr old we were hesitant to tell our families an were worried that they wouldnt be so happy for us...
So we announced the pregnancy at our wedding reception on October 4, a few wks ago.
Everyone was shocked but very supportive...an yes their all joking about hubby an i having to realise how it happens-the wild thing!!
Our oldest daughter wore a "BIG SISTER 2006" t-shirt to her grandparents' house!
To Martikadragoon:
I think my hubby is going to act the same way. Have the worried "oh no!" look. and once it settles, he'll be happy. Good story!
Thanks for sharing everyone.
Hubby~ he came home on his lunch break to a kitchen table full of baby things and a note reading "daddy" inside it said congradulations, your going to be a daddy sometime in September.
He didn't want a kid at that time so his response was to sit, put his hands on his face and say "oh god my life is over".
As for my mom and family. each person got a note reading " Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie, Uncle"... etc. and said the same inside. I gave my mom the postitive tests wrapped in a ribbon, at first she asked "did grandma send this?".. I replied no,look closer at what you have in your and after going around this about 3 times she looked at me and said "are you sure?" and started crying. my little brother began jumping around screaming "i'm going to be an uncle"... now he could care less about it~! lol.
Being that I was 19 when I was pregnant I really don't have a cute story. I made my sister tell my mom and my mom told my dad. I am a chicken **** and I couldn't work up the nerve to tell them.
My brother and sister in law always tell us by putting messages on their kids shirt. For their second child my nephew wore a shirt that said "Big Brother" on the back and for the third kid my niece wore a shirt that said "Middle Kid" they just waited for all of us to notice it on our own. I thought that was a cute idea.
Well, this time I told my hubby by sticking the positive HPT in the door knocker, so when he came home from work there it was! I remember hearing him say, "WOW!" from inside the house.
We told my parents by signing my mom's 65th birthday card, "Love, Joyce, Nick, Luke and #2!"
We told his parents by mixing my u/s photo in with some pics of our son. When my FIL came to the u/s he says to me, "Oh you're a riot! You're pregnant!?!?!" Then he showed my MIL and she looked confused a minute and then smiled and said "Awwww!"
I took my husband out to lunch and just put a wrapped package on the table. Inside I had put a onesie, a bib, and socks that all said I love my daddy. He looked confused for about 1 second then when he figured it out he had this huge smile on his face.
My husband is in the army and he is geting to deploy and he was gone for training and i had to wait for him to call me c ause they couldnt have phones and everyone in the world knew before he did. and he called me and i told him and he started crying on the phone and he sgt found outand they celebrated for him. its was cool.. now we are almost 5 months pregnant an he leaves for a year i got two more weekends left . so wish him luck.
Wow! That is such a great story!!!
My husband is at work right now. he's in the military, so he works long hours, I refuse to tell him over the phone. And My due date is on July 8th, so i'm thinking of wrapping my digital pregnancy test and put happy anniversay 2009. What do you think?
Oh forgot to mention, the way we told my brother and sister-in-law is we put a bib on their 4 month old daughter that said "Future Big Cousin"... waiting for the results of that...knowing them, I'll probably have to call and check.
Well this was our third pregnancy (2 previous m/c's) so my husband was right there when I tested. As for our parents...I always try to think of cute ways to tell. With me seeing an RE, we had a great collection of ultrasound pictures from week to week. So, we did a collage of ultrasound pictures, along with our latest ultrasound in a cute little fridge magnet with a cute little poem about your grandbaby on it. Along with our 10 week ultrasound on DVD and a bib for each respective grandparent that reads "I "heart" whatever they are going to be called". They loved it! Especially being able to watch the DVD and see the baby move. It made it very surreal!
^_^
My husband was the one that told me! We were on our second and final try at IVF and he was the one to answer the phone when the nurse called with our beta results.
