He will only be put on,child support if you are not together. You will have to tell them that you are together but dont live together and that he helps you financially with the child.
The only way they will make him pay child support is if u get cash from the government and making 11.50 you probably won't qualify for cash assistance anyway also depending on what state you live in even if he is on the birth certificate he still won't have rights I know this because I live in Ohio and my husband has one child outside the relationship who he signed the birth certificate for and he still has to go to court for everything that's with him paying 300 dollars a week in child support
When you sign up for government assistance you can always say the father is "unknown". I know my kids father but I still put unknown.
You don't have to get child support. Even if you get assistance through the government, he doesn't HAVE to be put on child support.
It's his responsibility to support all of his children not tax payers. If you need the help then get it but some of it must come from him.
