So many different opinions

I read so many different opinions on certain foods and vitamins intake during pregnancy.  What is really safe and a big no-no?
What type of cheeses to avoid?
Chicken liver?
I know meat can't be medium rare, needs to be well done. Also no runny eggs . lentils, cold meats or other processed stuff. What else am I missing other than the usuals? Then also I take 5mg of folic acid is that too much?  As I read 400-800mcg is the limit.  I am a high risk though.  Will appreciate some input on the do's and donts :)

Chicken liver big no no I think it has copious amounts of vitamin a in it ( I think) and can do something to babies pretty much all cheese is fine if your in the usa. The only kinds you need to look out for is soft cheeses that are unpasteurized...even if it's not you can still eat it but there's a small risk for containing nasty things cos it hasn't been heat treated to kill bacteria . I eat rare steak all the time. I know that the meat I get from my butcher is always fresh so it doesn't pose a problem for me . The reason they say to have it medium to well done is so it gets hotter and kills bacteria I eat runny eggs ( not much of an egg person so I don't eat them often) it's incase they have been contaminated with salmonella. Which is pretty unlikely now if your in a developed area. Cold meats I work in a deli so I eat it of I know it's cut fresh if it a been open more then 2 days I won't touch it though processed meat I don't eat but I never have it's a bit gross . Never heard anything about not eating lentils . And there should be enough folic acid in a normal pregnancy vitamin
