I try to remind myself to be nice, on the off chance that this person really IS naive and scared...I'd rather look like an @ss for trying to help a fake poster than to jump on some kid who is really scared and looking for help. With everything and everyone trying to be so politically correct now...a lot of parents aren't allowing their children to participate in sex ed becuase it's too liberal and teaches a lot about homosexuality. Therefore these kids are getting the education they need to equip themselves. It's no wonder these kids really don't know. Also, too many parents are too scared or modest or whatever to talk to their kids. I had a "talk" with my oldest when she was in 3rd grade, becuase that's when she started telling me things that other kids said. ALL of my kids know the correct names of the male and female genitalia. When they ask me a question I answer them honestly. Not many parents do that, they leave the sex education part up to their childs peers and quite honestly these kids aren't getting the correct information. I would rather my kids get the correct information from me.
So, on the off chance that a post is a kid such as what I've described above I'd rather play it safe.
Agreed, LosingMyMind.......100%!
LOL, I like that last reply losingmymind...........that is really good. I don't know how you are able to keep it in and not really say that.
My response, when I give one, to those kinds of posts is ALWAYS..."if you're going to take part in ANY form of sexual activity...EDUCATE YOURSELF, use the internet or planned parenthood or some other place...but learn about what you are doing"
What I WANT to say is "if you're THAT stupid, you have NO business having any kind of sexual experiences"
i totally agreed.......Sometimes I don't bother replying b/c I feel like calling them names! LOL! So I figure I'm better off ignoring it! People who can't understand why they ended up pregnant...Um...it's not that hard to figure out! YIKES!
It does get frustrating, to hear the same post over and over again, to give the same answers... to wonder if the poster is real or just some sicko trying to get a thrill... I used to teach HIV/AIDS awareness to my peers when I was in high school so we def. had sex ed. Don't know, don't know!!!
