Swollen glands at 33 weeks? mumps?

Funny question for you ladies today. I've been feeling really run down the last few days and today woke up with one side of my neck swollen. The whole side of of my neck is these hard swollen lumps all the way up to under my chin. I'm 99% sure it's swollen glands, but I've never had anything like this before. Only on one side and from my collar bone to my jaw bone. My throat doesn't really hurt and my only other symptoms would be feeling a little tired and waking up with a little blister on my tounge.

Anyone ever heard of this as a pregnancy thing or should I be worried about mumps or something like that?? My kids are up to date on their shots, but I haven't had boosters in years. Hope it's nothing serious. I get paranoid with neck stuff because I had hodgkins lymphoma when I was younger and then half my thyroid removed a few years ago because of suspected cancer again.

I'm so sorry you have Mono!!! I got this in 10th grade and it kicked my butt. I think I ended up missing just about the entire school year--I pretty much slept all day and night. Try to get as much rest as you can! Hopefully it's just a mild case.

I have flippin mono. So does dh. My dr said something about an outbreak at my sons school and how since my husband had it when he was younger he's more apt to get it as an adult. Waiting on a blood test to find out if my son has it too.

I've been worn down for a week already and the dr thinks I should start to feel better in two or three more weeks. We're just freaking out today trying to figure out how taking care of a two year old and a newborn while we both are exhausted all the time is going to work.

Oi girl....are you getting in to the doctor today? I hope you feel better. Strep definitely swells my neck up and I get it about 3 times a year..it stinks. I really need my tonsils out but...you can imagine why I would put that off with 2 small children, lol.

Could also be mumps but I'm pretty sure that is easily treated.

Yeah I just got off the phone with a girlfriend who is a nurse and she thinks strep too. Guess I'll just have to wait it out a few more hours. Until then staying away from google ;-)

The best thing is to go to the doctor right away. Could be anything really. All the ilnesses usually show themselves through swollen glands. Maybe strep throat, ear infection?  Hope you feel better soon!
