Thanks and sorry

I feel like such a jerk posting on here.  So many of you are hoping to conceive and here I am whining and moaning that I might be pregnant when I'm not ready to be.  I hope you don't think me insensitive!  I am so grateful for your answers and the fact that you've all been so gracious when some of you probably want to tell me to quit whining!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the great responses and your patience.  Even reading the past answers to other people's questions has been helpful.  This coming weekend will be exactly one month since the possible conception date, so I would imagine by then I'd have enough hCG in my urine to feel very confident in one of the very sensitive tests you can buy now. (I've had several negative already, but don't know if I had a high enough hCG level, or even if I actually missed a period yet because I just came off the pill so it's possible my cycle after that could have been extended or delayed.  But a  3 week luteal phase doesn't seem very likely, so I"m most likely either late or didn't ovulate when I fear I did).  I don't chart my ovulation or know how long my follicular or luteal phases are usually, or even know how long my entire cycle is, but you can bet I've learned enough know that if I get a truly confirmed negative I will be doing that every month going forward!!

Thanks ladies!  I had a blood test this AM so I can put an end to the "am I testing too early" stress.  I don't know how long it should take to come back, but I'm hoping soon!

You're just looking for answers! Don't feel bad. Some people aren't ready to be pregnant and that's fine. But if you are, it'll all work out. Don't feel you need to leave because you're not pregnant or not wanting to be. You need to know what is going on with your body.

Stress can cause your period to be late!  And did you just start your birth control pills?  If you just started them, that could be why your late, but I'd go into a planned parenthood, tell them you want to take a test, and you'll even get to talk to someone, so you can explain all this stuff.  And then if if comes out positive they can give you all your options!

But if it's a one month date from possible conception this weekend, then any test results would be accurate!  Oh you can also, call your doctor and ask for a blood test, that way the results are completely accurate!  Good Luck!
