Tiredness

Does anybody have any advice on how to beat the tiredness? I work 3rd shift and literally sleep all day (from when I get off until time to go in) and often times find myself fighting to stay up at work.

You might be getting TOO much sleep.. Say you go in at 11pm and get off at 7am.. Im just applying this to what my third shift hours are.. You should sleep from 2-10, get up and get ready and eat.  Then go to work from 11-7 and try to stay up from 7-2 because then your body is running on 8 hours of sleep which is the average recommended amount.  You might want to experiment getting different amounts of sleep, maybe try getting 61/2 one night.. 7 the next night.. 8 the next night.. 9 the next night.. etc. and just see what makes you feel best.  I noticed that before I got pregnant 6 1/2 hours of sleep was perfect for me.  I felt energized and awake all day.  After getting pregnant anywhere from 8-10 works the best for me and I notice if I dont get enough Im uncontrollably emotional and if I get too much I cant keep my eyes open.. Just a suggestion about changing your sleep patterns.. I know that when I get too much its hard for me to concentrate and stay awake.
