We were trying for a year and a half before we got to this pregnancy. Especially if you've been on birth control or if you don't have regular periods, it can take a while. It's a scary thought that something might be wrong but don't stress yourself out too much. Start taking a prenatal now so that the baby has everything it needs when you do get pregnant and just have fun getting there.
It can take a couple up to two years to naturally conceive. 5 months is a very short time to have been trying. Do you chart your basal body temp, use OPKs, check your cervical mucous? All of these things can tell you when you're ovulating. If you have regular cycles you can use ovulation calculators to help guess a little more when ovulation is. If you don't, then you will need to use one of the above methods.
ive been trying for seven months and if i have a period this week then itll be 8 months :( its normal to take a while, my sister-in-law has been ttc for 3 years so stay positive and try not to worry... i know thats easier said than done!
